highlight color of an excel cell

I've looked around but can't find an answer. When i use the the find function in excel, the highlight of the cell is so faint, i can't find it. How do i intensify this color/change the color?

thanks

Not sure what this has to do with Leopard, but you can see which row and column the search finds. They will go dark and point to the found data.

Much more information and help would be available to you if you post your question in a forum where somebody actually cares about a Microsoft product:

As a side note: Apple Numbers also highlights the row, column, and border of the cell. In addition, Numbers also highlights the actual text with a gray box that surrounds the text and I find it quite easily. ..." Not sure what this has to do with Leopard"...

It may depend on the version, but Excel in Ofiice 2004 takes its highlight colour from the user's global setting which can be changed in "System Preferences" > "Appearance" > "Highlight Color:". Use "Other…" to select arbitrary colours beyond the pale ones listed by default. That would make this an "OS X" question, since "Excel" doesn't appear to have its own control for changing the colour.

Note that Excel has to be relaunched for the setting to take effect, and unfortunately, the ' AppleHighlightColor' key doesn't seem to work in Excel as a per-app setting like it does in other apps.

Changing the faint color of the outline for a Excel search works the same way with Excel 2008. Unfortunately, all of the colors are still faint and hard to find in a large spreadsheet. That is why I use the rows and columns hints to locate the search result.

The search results for Numbers are far easier to see on a sheet because the program actually puts a highlight box behind the text in the search result.

Microsoft would be the one to change how Excel works.
