Two Site FRUSTRATION!

Ok, I have searched and tried what I've seen, but most of the topics get too personal for me to figure out how to apply it to my problem. Here's the situation:

I started with my personal education site: www.MrShoemaker.com I purchased the domain name from GoDaddy.com. I have the CNAME set up to forward it to my .mac site. It works fine and always works fine.

Now, I purchased another domain name and published it to .Mac. The long URL is: http://web.mac.com/mrshoemaker/EducationWithInnovation/Coming_Soon.html That site works; however, when I do domain forwarding in GoDaddy.com, I get some errors.

If I type www.educationwithinnovation.com I get:
Safari can’t open the page “ http://www.educationwithinnovation.com/” because it can’t find the server “www.educationwithinnovation.com”.

If I type educationwithinnovation.com I get:
To view this page, you need to log in to area “idisk.mac.com” on educationwithinnovation.com:80.

In GoDaddy.com educationwithinnovation.com is forwarded to http://web.mac.com/mrshoemaker/EducationWithInnovation/Coming_Soon.html and there is no CNAME attached to it because I already have that for MrShoemaker.com

I know it's long, but I'm so frustrated at how to fix this! Can anyone help!?

I usually start by eliminating the problems.

You created the pages in iWeb. No problems there? No iWeb issue.

You published the pages to dotMac. Pages display in browser? No problem there? No dotMac issue.

You have a personal domain. CNAME is OK? DotMac is OK? No problem there? No dotMac issue.

That leaves GoDaddy.

Check the URL forwarding settings at GoDaddy. Wrong/Correct? GoDaddy issue.
Change the forwarding to www.MrShoemaker.com. Wrong/Correct? GoDaddy issue.

Hope this helps.

For my personal Domain the CNAME is fine for MrShoemaker.com. I removed CNAME for educationwithinnovation.com.

In godaddy the forwarding is set to:
Forwarding: (Last Update 4/12/2008)
http://web.mac.com/mrshoemaker/EducationWithInnovation/Coming_Soon.html

I have no problems with Mr. Shoemaker site, the problem i'm having is with Education With Innovation site.

Now, when you type in educationwithinnovation.com without the WWW you get a parked page. adding WWW still gives an error.

Well, someone at godaddy finally figured out the problem.

It was forwarded properly, but in the process of trying to get it to work with my .mac account they had me delete the WWW CNAME. It caused problems when the 2nd site was directed at web.mac.com so we deleted it. The new person told me to add the CNAME www and point it to @, and it works beautifully! Finally!
