Grandma gets an IPod touch

I got an IPod Touch for my birthday. The good news- everything pretty much works as advertised. All my email accounts (4), Safari, playlists., synching. The bad news- typing drives me crazy although I learned to hit the key slightly left of center to get the correct letter. I tried playing Bejeweled and hitting the correct ball drove me up the wall. Web access is s-l-o-w on our home network. I am off to Starbucks to try their free Wi-fi and maybe that will speed up web access? . Any suggestions on improving my typing?
