Not very long ago, I read in some Mac article or tutorial about how to crop out part of a Safari web page, save it as a PDF and print just that part. I have not used it enough to remember how. I can use the Preview tools to "crop" a part of the page, and save it, but when I open it again, the whole page is there, not just the cropped part. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.
Thanks for that tip. It seems that the ".png" picture that gets saved to the desktop opens at the same size as the original. I can zoom in but when then trying to save at the increased size, it doesn't work. It gets saved once again at the original size. So if I want to "cut" a small picture out of a web page and then blow it up and print it, how do I do it?
Thanks again for the help.
You can't "blow up" screenshots without degrading the image quality.
Most Mac's screen resolution is 72 dpi and you need at least 300 dpi for a "print".
Enlarging it will only print a pixelated mess.
One way - Command/Shift/4 keys puts a cross-hair on the page. Drag it over the area you want to capture. The file is created on your desktop. Open the file in Preview and print it.
