Java.security.AccessControlException
Many of our Mac OS X clients throughout our school district are experiecing the following error on their Macs:
Java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.net.SocketPermission "URL of site here" resolve)
I did do some checking on this a bit closer and really the problem stems from the Mac not being able to resolve signed java applets through a proxy server like Windows can. I have even gotten to the point of modifying OS X's java.policy to grant the language needed for resolving the domain and yet the applet information will still not pass through the proxy server.
Novell has very limited documentation on this issue and the information they did have was for older versions of Border Manager, which we are running a new version (3.8) that were referenced in the Novell TID.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
