Trackpad button warped/curved
I purchased a new 17" MacBook Pro and have a strange problem with the trackpad button. The button is warped/curved in the middle causing the button to click at the slightest of touch. The outside of the button clicks loud and "solidly" but the middle is completely silent and has no click feel to it. The button is visibly curved when you look at it.
I have checked the battery and do not see any signs of swelling. This problem has existed since the first day and I am finding it to be extremely annoying when typing or using the trackpad. The button will seemingly click itself.
The tech at the Genius Bar said my only option is to send it in for repairs. I ordered the laptop on the Apple Store... Will Apple simple exchange this one for a brand new one or do I have to go through the repair process?
