I thought I bought a Mac...
Safari used to work great. It was my favorite browser. Then I upgraded my Macs to Leopard and Safari started crashing frequently. It got to the point where I had to start using Firefox instead. I figured maybe it was some fluke issue with upgrading from Tiger to Leopard. As annoying as it was, I accepted it (even though I regularly update the software on the machine to ensure it's running the latest version of everything).
Well, now I'm angry. I just bought a new MacBook Pro last night from the Apple Store. Let me reiterate that it is brand new, right out of the box, and I've had it for barely 12 hours now. I ran software update and even updated Flash. So I open Safari, try to check my Gmail... crash. I go to Google and search for information on Safari crashing a lot, which leads me back to these discussion boards. I try to log in on this very site to post a question, Safari crashes. I reload and try logging in again, Safari crashes. I'm writing this from Firefox because apparently it's the only browser that runs stable on Leopard. I can't run the manufacturer's own browser on the machine I just dropped over $2200 on.
What's the deal? I could have sworn I'm running OS X and not Vista. I've never had these kinds of problems with Apple before. Why is Safari so unpredictable all of the sudden? It's ridiculous.
