I don't think you can. It appears that Sharp does not have an OS X printer driver for that model nor does OS X include a built-in driver.

No. If the printer merely appears in the browser it simply means that it's online and detected. But in order to print you must select a printer driver unless a compatible driver is found automatically. However, when I checked I could not find a driver included with OS X for that model nor is one available from Sharp's web site.

If a driver was supplied with the printer and it's a universal binary driver, then you will need to install it before you can add the printer.

You will find support for adding printers by selecting Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu and searching on "printer".

I looked up the specs on this device at _ http://www.sharpinbusiness.co.uk_. It would appear that this device has optional general printer options. That is, it may not understand any printer language at all.

You may be able to use a generic PCL 5e or PCL 6 driver. Those would be the most likely of any printer languages to be supported. You may already have the Gutenprint drivers installed on your computer. They are part of the default installation of OS X. The generic PCL Gutenprint drivers only support grayscale printing, but it should give you an idea of whether this will work for you.

Let us know if you can get output from the Gutenprint drivers. There are other drivers that will allow you to add color support that we could explore.
