How Can I Totally Reset iPhoto?

I would like to totally reset iPhoto so that I can start over with importing all my photos. What is the "correct" way to delete everything in the program and start from scratch? Thank you!

Welcome to the Apple user discussion forums

Quit iPhoto, Delete your iPhoto Preferences ("your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.Apple.iPhoto.plist) and delete the iPhoto library from the pictures folder (this will delete all photos, albums, etc) and launch iPhoto - it will create a new empty library and a default preference file.

You are now ready to start over from zero
