How Do I Remove CleanApp Daemon ??

I recently installed an application called CleanApp, for removing applications and the supporting files they create/install. I subsequently deleted the application; however, from time to time, my G5 dual 2.5GHz machine fans began to roar, and when I check Activity Monitor, the culprit is CleanApp Daemon.

How do I safely remove this Daemon ??

Thanks,

Robert W

See if it's located in one of these directories:

/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/
/System/Library/LaunchAgents/
/Library/LaunchDaemons/
/Library/LaunchAgents/

If it's there delete it (or if you cannot then move it from the folder temporarily) and restart the computer. Additionally, you might have something in the "Application Support" directory in any of the Library folders.

Thanks Topher,

I found the file(s) in the Library/LaunchDaemon and also two CleanApp files in the Application Support; I deleted them and then launched Activity Monitor to verify the CleanApp was gone; but it wasn't, still showed in Activity Monitor as a Root User; so I rebooted to empty the trash and CleanApp Daemon is now gone from Activity monitor.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply and help; and to others who responded to my request
