Syncing I Phone with Palm Desktop Contacts and Calendar software

I'm an IPhone newbie...Anyone know if there's a way to sync the phone with Palm Desktop software? I have no entries in my Windows Calendar, Contacts, or Windows Mail programs. I first tried importing the Palm files to my empty Windows programs but couldn't figure out how to do that. I have an ACER 3680 laptop running Windows VISTA Basic. Help!

Acer 3680, Windows Vista

For a Windows PC, contacts must be stored in one of the following compatible contact managers:

Outlook Express (Windows XP only)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista only)
Outlook 2003
Outlook 2007
Yahoo!

Calendars must be stored in one of the following compatible calendar applications:

Outlook 2003
Outlook 2007

Syncing directly with Palm Desktop software is not supported.

I'm sure there is an option - probably thru a 3rd party, that provides for syncing the Palm Desktop contacts with Windows Contacts on a PC running Vista, or with Outlook 2003 or 2007.
