Renaming a download file or program before the download starts.

I would like to be able to rename a file before I start downloading it. I can do it in IE, but it does not seem to be possible in Safari...or is it?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Yep, this is exactly my experience as well. Would be helpful if Safari could have a pop-up asking me where to save the file and what to call it.

At the moment when I right-click I can only hope that the current page is the final landing page for the download and I can only download to my default location which happens to be the desktop. One cannot decide on the spot that you wanna change your download location.

Hi dex_10,

No, it isn't possible! You'll have to rename it after the download.

Hope this helps!
