ColorSync: "Profile First Aid" - huh?

In the HELP for ColorSync Utility, it says "from the menubar, select 'Profile First Aid'" ..

I do not HAVE this menu item. I want to adjust my White Point, as my Apple Cinema Display 23" looks a bit cyan-ish to me.

Where can I get a ColorSync profile editor?

If I want to display a grayscale chart, and fine-tune the individual bars towards "pure" gray, is there an application which can do this?

Thanks
William

Profile First Aid seems to be the window that opens when you launch ColorSync Utility.

However, what you want is different, I believe.

Run System Preferences Displays pane. Click on the Color tab. Click on the Calibrate button. This will take you through the steps to adjust the color settings for the display. There is a check box on the first screen to turn ON +Expert Mode+, if you want more control.

Thank, Kenichi.

But the Display Calibrate is a real joke, even in what Apple laughably calls "Expert Mode".

The control is terrible. You cannot adjust individual R, G, B gammas, black points or white points, or any of the grays. In fact, it's insulting to call in a "calibrator" rather than what it actually is: an "adjustment toy".

I have been working with computer generated color displays since 1971, and I know what Gray is...

Anyone know of an app which can adjust the individual R, G and B value etc?

Thanks.

( And I don't want to by a $300 - $500 calibrator "device", thanks )
