Getting iPhone to auto-connect to Pioneer DEH-P9800BT

Is this possible?
I hate having to manually connect every time I get in the **** car.
Also, when it rings and when I dial something, I have to choose "Pioneer BT Unit" on iPhone's menu.
But, the whole point of the setup is being able to call and receive calls without touching the cell, or even taking my hands off the wheel...so...

I noticed your in Brazil.

Do you use your iPhone with one of the following providers?

* AT&T
*O2
*Orange
*T-Mobile

These are currently the only providers we support and the iPhone would of had to been obtained from the USA, UK, France, Ireland, Germany, and forgive me forum posters. I know I am missing someone.

So I am guessing you could possibly have one of the Unlocked iPhones that were sold.

Check to ensure your running iPhone 1.1.4 if possible. And then check with your Navigation provider to see if they are compatible with iPhone. The Bluetooth profile they use may not support auto sync with iPhone.

I got asked if my provider supports this, and the answer is yes.
My old cheap *** phone did everything fine, synced automatically, answered calls, made calls, everything through the car stereo. Now, with the iPhone, I have to pair it everytime I enter the car, and I can only make calls. When I receive them, it doesn't route the audio to the car by default, I have yet to figure out how to make it answer calls like it's supposed to do. Help?

works without a hitch with my pioneer fhp8000bt. i only had to pair once, initially, now i just make sure bluetooth is on, the phone and stereo do the rest. calls come in, i can answer with the stereo, i can also make calls on the stereo. so it should definitely work.

not exactly sure whats going on in your case, but being that we're both working with pioneer hear units, it should definitely work the same way.

I also have the DEH-P9800BT. I've used a number of phones with it, and each had their issues.

My girlfriend's iPhone only connects when manually connected from the Function menu on the stereo. As does my Blackjack II... though I can at least connect from it with its headset manager. But I couldn't figure out how to initiate a connection from the iPhone besides re-pairing.

as the manual says:
This feature may not work with all phones.
If your registered phone fails to connect
with Automatic Connection, use the manual
connection method...

My old HTC 8525 would auto-connect... usually when making or receiving a call, but not always.

Overall I'm happy with the call quality, but the interface is a bit lacking.
