How to type circumflex over 2 letters

How about Unicode 0361 (find in Character Palette).

I'm curious -- what kind of text do you need this for exactly.

I'm also curious. Why? All Greek texts I have seen have the circumflex over the upsilon and leave the omikron blank. Is it a typographic feature or some variant of Greek?

Magnus -- I can't seem to find any reference to this use of the circumflex over two Greek characters in the places I have looked, such as

It is very much the same. Once I looked at the combining double inverted breve 0361 you reference above, it struck me that I may have seen accents over two characters in some circumstances in Greece, like handwritten shop signs, but I haven't been there for years, so it could be my imagination. They don't appear in any of my own Greek books, neither in modern nor classic Greek, neither in books printed in Greece nor abroad.

Anyhow, as Demetrios says it was supported by Quickdraw GX, I guess it is a purely typographic feature, like ligatures. In Greek, that is. Diacritics over several letters surely appear in other languages.

It would still be interesting to know under which circumstances it is used in Greek.
