Photoshelter Project?

Hello

I have just entered the arena of stock photography and just signed up with Photoshelter. My question is; from my existing aperture image library can I create a new project called "Photoshelter Submissions" and export or drag and drop RAW images from existing projects into the "Photoshelter Submissions" project, make the desired adjustments and submit these images to photoshelter?

Ideally I would like to just create a version and place it in the "photoshelter submissions" project not having my original RAW in it's original project effected in anyway? Is this possible?

Thanks Shane

No you can't. Images can only belong to ONE project. But you can use an album instead and get the same functionality. I'm also with the Photoshelter Collection and use smart albums to manage the pics I send: I use the keywords PSC-pending, candidate, and live to sort through pictures. I use stacks to save versions I submit with the original file. Works pretty well.

Remember, in Aperture your original RAW file is NEVER affected. You're always working with non-destructive versions of your images...

P.S be sure to download the new Photoshelter plugin for Aperture, it makes submitting a whole lot quicker...

Create a smart album, with all images using a certain keyword. Then you can have "live" views of everything with that keyword.

Create it at the library level initially, and then move it wherever you want.

I use this for myself

_ISC (iStock candidate)
_ISA (iStock accepted - for sale)
_ISR (iStock rejected)
_ISS (iStock submitted - pending acceptance)

And the same for Alamy, with _ASC, etc.

So I can make sure I separate which images I sell where, to keep myself out of hot water 😉
