USB Overdrive ok to use?

Hi,

want your opinion on using the USB Overdrive version 10.4 with my Mac OS X 10.4.2 and G5. Any bad experiences? Don't want to pay 20$ if there are problems. Startup took longer than expected during 1st boot after install, hope that won't stick...

I use it to enable extra buttons on my Logitech G5 Laser mouse - which is excellent by the way but not thoroughly supported by Logitech for the Mac.

Thanks for any input!

Works great for me.

The reason that it took longer to start up is that after you install a driver (kernel extension) in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder, you need to delete the .kext caches which normally speed up the booting process. During startup, they were rebuilt and subsequent restarts should be back to normal, for the most part.

Hope this helps....
