V-Moda Vibe Duo Headphones

For those who own a pair of these, what do you think about them? From what I've read there isn't a call answer button like comes with standard iPhone headphones. If so does the sound quality make up for the fact that it doesn't have all the features. Looking forward to the responses.

I have the V-Moda Vibe Duos, and they do have a mic/call answer button, so they work just like the earbuds that came with the phone. The older model, the Vibes (not the Vibe Duos) did not have the mic/button. That's the only difference between the Vibes and the Vibe Duos.

It's a little hard to find the Duos...the Apple Store sells them, and I got mine at www.v-moda.com (they have more colors there than the Apple store carries). Circuit City sells V-Moda's that they advertise as the Duos, but they are NOT - they are the plain Vibes without the mic (the Duos don't come in the Red Roxx color).

I love mine. They're comfortable and they sound great, IMO.

You have to buy carefully. Older VMs do not have the switch; newer ones do.

I love the sound but would add that for those who do not like it, bass is often the complaint. But two other factors may offset that for you.

First, the sound quality while making phone calls is excellent. People who complained to me that the iPhone sounded not so great when I called them were surprised to hear that I was not on a landline once I started using the VMs.

Second, these buds are 10,000 times more comfortable than the Apple ones, at least in my ears.

Hope this helps.

These headphone SUCK. Mine broke within 16 days of purchase. I have a friend who has gone thru 3 pairs. It's been over a month since I sent them back to V-moda and I have only recieved 1 email thanking me for my patience and telling me to 'Rock-on'.

Possibly the worst value headphones on the market. Possibly the Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Do not buy these headphones.

I have to say that at least the customer service has been responsive. I sent mine back last month and after I had not heard anything I called them (800 VMODA-LA). They said it takes about three weeks and sure enough yesterday I got notice that my replacement set had shipped. They haven't hassled me about the three returns and I'm sending the fourth set back today.

I like the Ultimate Ears but I do miss the deeper sound of the Vibe Duos. I'll be happy to have them back and I'll treat them with kid gloves this time.
