Setting up Netgear Router to access the next through the Time Capsule?

I read in another posting that to get my Nintendo DS Lite to connect to the net via an access point that I had to set up an additional router with WEP. I set up the additional router (NETGEAR). The DS can access the Netgear router but not the server. So I guess that the link cannot get through the Time Capsule. I read about setting the Time capsule as a bridge but I do not want to do that b/c I still want my Macbook Pro to access the net via the Time Capsule and not Netgear. Can someone walk me through how to do this? Thanks.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

You should only have one router. Its function is to translate between the one public IP address (on the Internet) to the private IP addresses on your local area network.

If you are using a Netgear router, the TC should be in bridge mode (not a router).

If you use the TC as a router, you do not need the Netgear. Or you could put it in bridge mode to act as an access point for additional coverage (if it is wired and in a different part of the house).

The DS Lite is just a client on the network. You may need to enter or select the SSID and enter any encryption used on the TC.
