Radeon 9000 freezes Quicksilver when booting into OS 9.2.2
So I got this Radeon 9000 at Ebay (suppossed to be Mac-Edition, not flashed), stuck it in and everything's fine in OS 10.3.9. Systemprofiler says it's an ATY,RV250 with 64 MB VRAM. But when I boot into OS 9.2.2 it will freeze as soon as all icons have popped up on the desktop. Curser still moving but no menu or folder clickable.
Shouldn't it work?
Thanks.

I should add that I hooked up a CRT-monitor to the DVI-port using an adapter (not the ADC-port!). But if that was an issue wouldn't it also effect the computer when running OS X?
OK. Booting with extensions off works. But I just can't figure out which one is the problem. Rebooting with the usual suspects (not Apple) turned off didn't work. Hm. Strange thing is I can click and so on for about a second and then it freezes. The screen seems to be very light, too (like a gamma issue).
It looks like you need to download the latest ATI drivers and discard the ones you presently use. Hopefully someone can point you to a link for the drivers as I don't have that info.
Drivers installed (as they came with OS 9.2.2) are:
ATI 3D Accelerator D1-5.0.4
ATI Driver Update D1-2.0.4
ATI Graphics Accelerator D1-5.4.9
ATI MPP Manager D1-1.2
ATI Radeon 3D Accelerator D1-6.3.5
ATI Rage 128 3D Accelerator D1-6.3.5 (which I don't need probably)
ATI Resource Manager D1-3.0.5
ATI Video Accelerator D1-4.8.5
Quick search for OS 9 drivers was a failure. Anybody?
