Deleting widgets from dashboard

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.1)
When in Dashboard, click the little + in a circle down on the lower left.
This puts you into a mode where you can add/remove widgets.
In particular, now all your widgets have x's on their corners,
which you can click to remove them.
