Website Backrounds

Does anyone know if I can make backrounds like these using iWeb 08' alone? I can't figure out how to get the opaque effect on the center of the page and have the image match up with the backround.

howdi!

do you know what picture you want to try and use as your background?

i do believe you can use iWeb to do backgrounds like that although i've never tried, i did just have a go then using a random photo on my computer!

When you create a page, open the 'Inspector'
click the page tab (second from left)
and click on the layout button

from there if you look down it says "image background" you can make the background from a picture saved on your computer
