Sony alpha 200

Sony alpha 200

I could download pictures from my Sony alpha100 without problems. When I try to do this with the 200, iphoto 6.0.6 doesn't recognize the files. They are unreadable. iphoto 8 on my Powerbook pro doesn't have any problems recognizing the 200 camera. How can I import my images to iphoto 6.0.6?

Mac G4, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Are you importing RAW or jpeg files?

I use RAW files. I downloaded them to an external firewire drive from my Macbook pro, but when I tried to preview the images from the firewire drive, Preview didn't recognize them. The same thing happened on the G4. Photoshop CS2 doesn't recognize the images either.

I don't think the Alpha 200 RAW is supported.

That means that I have to get iphoto 08 for the alpha 200 images. What happens to my iphoto 06 libraries? Can I transport them into the new system, or is iphoto 08 not compatible with G4 computer running 10.4.6?
