Boot Camp 2.0 reinstall error code 2753

All,

After having problems with 2.1, I uninstalled 2.1 and tried to install 2.0 from the Leopard disk 1. During the install I get an error 2753. This occurs while it's trying to access the Apple Time Service. The time in XP comes up incorrectly. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Boot Camp

Welcome to the Apple forums:

How did you uninstall 2.1? Did it show up in install/uninstall in the Control Panel?
Some of the Apple drivers may not uninstall properly and you may have to use the hardware viewer to manually revert or uninstall the drivers.
I don't know which one is for the time service.

Ok, sorry for the vague posting. I loaded 2.1 on my MacBook Pro and had a problem with my anti-virus program AVG. It would not connect to download the latest updates unless I did it manually. Second, Update Manager was never "Active", just "Starting". Third, you could not create any schedules. On top of that the taskbar showed that there was no network connection (red x) when in fact there was. So I decided that 2.0 worked fine and wanted to down grade back to 2.0 from the Leopard CD. I found out the two files c:/windows/system32/AppleOSSSMgr and c:/windows/system32/AppleTimeSvr need to be renamed to something else first. On top of that I needed to uninstall my network adapter "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter" through the Device Manager, (right click My Computer/Hardware/Device Manager/Network Adapters). After that I could reload 2.0. I'm going to wait for either AVG or Apple to find a solution. I'm sure that SP3 would just give me a new list of headaches.

As for uninstalling 2.1, it is listed as a program that can be uninstalled under Start\Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs\Boot Camp Services.

Well it's good to know that at least I can uninstall it, if I ever get it installed.
I installed Vista 64-bit last year when I first got this new MBP. I was running Tiger and BC1.1 or some early version that I upgraded to 1.4 and then 2.0 via installing Leoaprd.
I forced the Vista 64-bit to run using drivers I downloaded manually, but it was and still is working fine. AVG works. The BlueTooth does not connect with my Logitech 900MX mouse, although my XP on the other MBP does.
I only installed Vista as a toy, and so far that's about what it is. It works, but I prefer XP and of course Leopard. I hope I don't have to completely remove the Vista partition and reinstall everything again. It's probably not worth that much effort, AFAIAC, especially since MS is extending XP's shelf life.
