i need to completely erase my macbook pro to stock form for resale

can someone give me the super detailed STEP-BY-STEP instructions for exactly what to do if i want to wipe my hard drive so it returns to stock form again?

i'm trying to resell it but i want it to be returned to stock

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Welcome to the Forums!

Insert Install DVD 1, reboot with the c key pressed, select language, (optional step - if you have security concerns, at this point select Utilities menu > Disk Utility and Erase the drive with multiple passes), select Erase & Install, let the install occur, after the reboot, when the Setup Assistant runs, just Shut Down. The new owner will be presented with the Setup Assistant when the MBP is booted.
