unlocking volume control

my kids got a hold of my ipod and locked the volume control, so now it asks for a code to unlock it, but ofcourse I don't know it, and its really low so my ipod right now is unusable, how do I unlock my volume?

ipod nano 2nd generation, Windows XP

Are you referring to a shuffle or your nano? A shuffle's maximum volume setting can be overcome by restoring the shuffle in iTunes... I believe the same thing can be achieved by restoring the nano.
