Connecting Mac Mini to a new HDMI TV with DVI cable...

Hi,

I've just ordered a new HD Ready TV (Samsung LE26R41B) and want to use DVI to connect it to my Mac Mini. Does anyone know what kind of cable I need to buy? The TV is listed as having an HDMI input, but I can't find a DVI to HDMI cable. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve.

I have a DVI to HDMI cable. Bought it off ebay. Do a search there under video accessories. Sorry, can't remember the name of who I bought it from. But as I remember, they are very common items in the aftermarket. Mine was less than 20 bucks shipped. Works good too, though am connecting a satellite tuner to a HDMI tv.

If you really can not find one on ebay, let me know and will dig through my old emails to find the seller. But this may take awhile.

Good Luck

Michael,

As your first post here, I guess you're excused. But it's a bad idea to tag onto someone else's thread with a differernt problem. That's is called threadjacking. It's a sure way to get ignored or take the thread off track. Post new when you have a new issue.

Anyway, did you get answers to your question? I am not that knowledgeable in the area of monitors and their settings, but recall having to activate the HDMI port on my TV when I set it up with my Mini.

Patrick
