Left I/O Board

Left I/O Board

Has anyone replaced their left I/O Board before? The Genius at the bar said that if my magsafe light doesn't come on again, after 2 replacements, then it is most likely because of the left I/O board.

Anyone?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

You can see what's involved in the replacement in iFixit's instructions. The part runs ~$90.

I had to drop off my baby at the apple store. =(
It was like dropping of a baby or something.
They are going to replace my left I/O board because I've been having so many issues with the power adapter.

Back to PC for now....I really dislike windows.

If you went to an Apple store you can pay $99 for ProCare, and they will fix it immediately if the part is in stock. Worked for me!

I think i'll just keep the $99 in my pocket and wait it out.

Jesus! My nearest Apple store currently has my Mac Book Pro as it may have to go through this. I thought it would be a simple thing to replace. What are the chances of it being put back together properly? Kind of hope it's not the IO board now as that looks major surgery.
