Game Pad (Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2) - help !

I am not sure if I have submitted to the correct thread/post... but I am wondering if anyone could help me with configuring my recently purchased Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, apparently it works straight out of the box with Macs, whereas on PC you have to load/install the provided software from the CD.

Anyway I am having real difficulty configuring the game pad and using it... is there anyone who could either inform me of exactly what I need to do or point me in the right direction of how to get it to work.

The product looks great, and seems to be a really alternative from the usual mouse+keyboard controls for games, but as yet i've yet to test it out.
