HP Deskjet 3845 Printer doesn't fully work on Leopard

Dear all, it is my first time to be here, I am really looking forward to getting your kind help!

I have a HP Deskjet 3845 printer directly connected to my MBP running Leopard by USB. Although it is automatically detected by the system (the driver is HP Inkjet 3.3.1), the printer name is HP Deskjet 3840!

Now, the problem is that the printer doesn't fully work in a way it only prints blank pages with some logos but no words.

I am totally in the middle of nowhere, and hoping someone could give a big hand on this.

Thank you very much in advance!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

Thank u 4 ur reply!

I am sure the printer power is on and is properly connected to my MBP by USB. The thing is Leopard can recognize my printer, but the printer just prints blank pages.

I thought it could be printer's problem, so I connected to a pc running Visata yesterday, the printer worked just fine.

It's so weird!
