Corrupted iPod with 0 KB free

My 80 GB iPod Classic had been freezing and not playing certain songs today, so I hooked it up to my computer to see if that would help. It updated new songs normally, but when I used it off the computer, it was still not playing songs and freezing. I reset it, and then it would not stop resetting itself. I couldn't get it to turn on or connect to the computer, but finally I switched it to disk mode and it connected. I decided to restore it because of the way it was acting. Now, when I connect it, a message pops up that says it is corrupted and I should restore it or reconnect it. I have done both many times and neither works. When I took it off the connection, I looked at the settings and it says I have no songs or videos, but I have 74 GB of other. This is the first time my iPod has given me any problems. Help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I am also having this problem with my 80G Classic, but mine freezes the start menu and itunes on my computer when i plug it in (everything else works suprisingly)
The ipod has corrupted art on some or all albums (not sure) but will display pictures and videos properly.
The interface is extremely slow and at times takes 20 seconds to respond to a screen change.
it takes about 2 minutes to start up and another 30 to respond to any input.
Please help me.
I have not yet restored it becuase i cannot plug it into my computer without serious problems.

I am having the exact same problem as the original poster. Almost play-by-play, my ipod went through the same errors, and now I have no music, can not restore my "corrupted" ipod, my itunes says that my ipod is a 1.1.2 PC type, and even though I have no files on the ipod, it says that I have "0 KB Free". What is going on?!?! I'm so angry about this! I just bought this ipod!
