Using my Mac as a 'karaoke' machine

Is there any way that I can use my Mac as a karaoke machine? i.e. is there a way to download songs from iTunes that shows the words for singing along? thanks.

macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

No, but there are lots of web sites with lyrics. You can even include these in a MP3's tags but I don't think there is a way to get iTunes to display them other than in a get info window. The other thing is when you play the song back it will have the original vocalist singing. iTunes predecessor Soundjam had a mode where it would filter out vocals and produce a pretty reasonable karaoke mode with mostly the instrumental part, but again I don't see this in iTunes. MacAmp X Lite is now free and has a karaoke feature in its plugins, but I have not tried the feature.
