System Failure CPU=0 Code-00000001 (Corrupt Stack)

Hi there,

My 12 in. G4 decided to take a crap today. 😟 I love this computer. Had it for 6 years already.

Anyways, I get this message: System Failure CPU=0 Code-00000001 (Corrupt Stack)

I tried to boot it in Safe Mode (shift while it starts up) but that didn't work.

I inserted the Software Repair disk and started that up by holding "c". It brought me to a screen where I had to type "mac-boot" - on this screen I noticed it said "Invalid Memory". Might that be the problem? Corrupted Ram? Anyways, I couldn't start up the repair disk.

Is there anything that I can do? I have my money projects on this computer. Funny thing, I was going to back it up yesterday. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess.

Thanks in advance, and
R.I.P 12in. G4

I pulled out my 512 mb stick of RAM. It has 256 mb built in and an extra slot. I pulled out the extra RAM, but I still can't start up.

It started up once and I transfered my money projects to a Flashdrive (thank god), but I'm still getting the error:

Invalid memory access at %SRR0: 056106dc %SRR1: 00003030

This is the error I get when I try and start up from the Software Restore disk. The screen prompts me to mac-boot, and then displays the error above. Might the built in RAM be corrupted?

When I got to the desktop this morning (when I transferred my stuff to Flashdrive), I tried to run the Software Restore Disk. The computer couldn't open the read-me PDF's..or restart the machine from the Restore disk. It just freezes.

I'll bring it into Apple today, but would still appreciate anybody who takes the time out of their day to help. Thanks again
