Why won't iTunes let me import this album from my music folder?

I am having the same problem. I can play the tracks in WMP but it will not even play in iTunes. So I can't import or play the Radiohead "In Rainbows" album in iTunes.

I'm having the same problem. Is this a ploy so Itunes can charge for the songs? By the way, the songs are still playing on my Ipod and I refuse to connect my Ipod again until I get this resolved. This is **ing bullsh**

It could already have been imported (so won't import again) but not it's showing where you'd expect because of odd tag data or you could have weird security permissions set which mean that iTunes can't access the fles even though you can. Compare permissions with other files.

I appreciate the reply. How do you check permissions (what is permissions)? This is very strange since it worked flawlessly in my itunes libraray before recently as well as my ipod and all of a sudden it wouldn't play in my library so I deleted the tracks from the library and tried to re-add them but it doesn't load them now and doesn't give me any kind of error message.

These are official MP3 tracks that I downloaded from the official Radiohead website and they play fine on my Ipod, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. Just not Itunes itself.

Right-click on a file & click properties. Some flavours of Windows include a Security tab which controls which users/processes are allowed to access the file and what they can do with it, e.g. read/write/delete etc. If you previously had access to these tracks from iTunes however this is unlikely to be the issue.
