ATI Rage 128 Pro Upgrade

I've spent all day trying to find out if there are any drivers out there that I can upgrade my Rage Pro. I run on Panther and can't seem to get any clear answer or information. If someone can help me out, I sure would appreciate it. Or, if I would need to replace my card.

Thanks all

Sorry about doing it this way but you have an ARCHIVED message about the Sony MVC-CD1000 I wanted to reply to. I've had the MVC-CD300 for many years now and while it takes great pix and allows me many of the controls I had with my old SLR's including the ability to use filters, I feel like I'd have to have my head examined if I ever desired another Sony product. They claim Mac compatibility when it's very limited, the warranties are not in line with the competition, the tech support is atrocious (spent DAYS on this issue alone) and the manuals are confusing not to mention the steeper prices.

So did you ever find a driver download to solve that problem (I stopped checking years ago). For me it's just easier to hook up the camera with PTP and download the pix that way. The problem is that even with the drivers you still have all theses dos and don'ts regarding finalizing etc. Looked like a promising technology when I bought it but I'm not too proud to say I (as well as Sony) made a huge mistake.

Anyway thanks in advance for any updates you may have.

You would need to buy any AGP 2x compatible card for your model's slots which are, I believe, PCI. There are several ATI cards that should work well such as the ATI 9600 or 9800, for example.

Installation is simply the removal of the existing card and replacing it with a new one. There will also likely be some driver installation needed, too. You'll need a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the card in the slot. Of course you will need to remove the side panel to access the interior.
