Whenever iTunes is running, I keep getting a Microsoft error screen saying "AppleMobileDeviceHelper has stopped working." This screen pops up at least every 10 seconds when iTunes is running. It doesn't matter how often I press the "closs the program" button, it keeps popping up. I like to have iTunes running while I'm on the computer, but it's impossible to with this problem. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? I'm using a Toshiba laptop and it uses Microsoft Vista, if that helps at all.
You could try reinstalling the Apple Mobile Device Support by opening your Control Panel and going into Programs & Features. Click on Apple Mobile Device Support and remove it. When it's done, remove iTunes as well, as iTunes must be reinstalled in order to reinstall the other utility. After iTunes is uninstalled, restart your computer. Then, go here:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and downoad & reinstall iTunes again.
Does anyone have a solution to this??? I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes so many times now I cant even keep up and it is still not working I keep getting the erroe on the Apple Mobile Device Helper....Thanks!
Yes...I have done both...Apple mobile device does not show up under programs...I dont have the touch or iphone so I am not sure why I am even having this problem...
All you have to do is delete the file named "AppleMobileDeviceHelper" in folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin. Make sure that you delete everything labled mobile device helper. There are only two things so it shouldn't be vey hard.
