Hey, you know the brands Smartphone and Candy Bar? Are they the same thing?

smartphone is a kind of phone...like the iPhone, blackberry, etc.

Candy Bar is just the decription of the shape of certain phones, like non-flip phones...i guess the iPhone would be considered a candy bar phone as well

"Candy Bar" is a style of cell phone.

I don't believe there is a cell phone brand named "Candy Bar", as Nokia and Apple are brand names.

They are not brands - they are descriptors. Smart phone is simply a functional descriptor. Candy bar is simply a shape of a phone. For example, a candy bar shaped phone can also be a smart phone.

A candy bar phone refers to the rectangular form factor like a Hershey bar.

A smartphone indicates a pda style phone like the Treo, Blackberry, iPhone.

If you want to buy an iPhone buy one from Apple or ATT. It'll be cheaper and you'll be getting a new phone.
