Belkin MacMini 6 Port USB/Firewire Hub F5U507

Does anyone have the Belkin F5U507 6 Port MacMini USB/Firewire Hub?
I want to buy it but I'm hesitating, being concerned that it doesn't have its own AC power unit to attach to the wall socket.
It does look nice, matching up to the Mini, but I don't want it to be a case of more form than substance.
Any recommendations?

I would avoid any unpowered hub, especially for FireWire. Even USB 2.0 hubs should have their own power supply as many devices will draw too much power.

Thanks, Peggy. The fact that it doesn't have its own power supply is a very big concern. It is no longer under consideration.

What about just daisy chain the devices you need. I have my mini to my external HD to my CDR recorder. No real need for an extra hub.

Jonesy, thank you for responding but although I know what daisy-chaining means, I don't know the specifics of how to daisy-chain USB devices.
I have a Belkin 4 port powered Hub, with 1 port free so I was planning on getting another Hub and connecting it to the remaining port.(if that can be done)

Well, this may be an "oopsie" for me then. I just purchased this hub a couple of days ago from the Apple store (my powered Belkin hub - the lozenge-shaped one - just failed).
I was wondering how they got around the fan-out issue with the new hub being unpowered. Well, I have time to cancel the order.

I don't think USB can be daisy chained or shared between devices.
