I am not sure everything is supported yet under BC. On my MBPs there are no yellow bangs in the device manager, but that may not be true for each and every Mac.
Not sure what the sm bus controller is, but you might google around for drivers or whatever it needs.
I assume you have already clicked "update driver" in the device manager and got the usual not found or whatever.
If you check on the Leopard side what the controller is, who makes it, etc., you might be able to finagle a driver for it. I had to do that when I first installed Vista Ult 64-bit on this box during the beta days when it was unsupported.
Meanwhile someone else may chime in with a fix.
The very fact that your install went practically without a hitch should make those who are skeptical about BC change their mind. If it's done properly with preparation, as you have done, it works.

It's an Intel System Management Bus controller. Are you sure your firmware on the motherboard is completely up to date?

I also notice you are only running 10.5.1 which might be part of the problem???

Great. So in essence it was a nearly perfect install, with a minor "burp" 🙂
Everyone should read this post and realize it's not a big deal.
Enjoy

thanks nerowolfe minor is an over statement im sure it was my fault between doing homework with the boy last night and not really paying any attention to the install and also having the system preped im sure it would have been 100%
apple sure couldnt have made it any easier use boot camp. cuddos to apple!!!

now the next prob
while i was monkeing around update pop up from windows, xp sp3 has entered the building i tried to install and i receive an error code not enough disk space available require four more mega bite of space what?????? i used 32 gig partition and plan on storing everything on an external hard drive.

xp sp3 does not give an option to not archive and back up files still i have 26 gig free what gives. i know this isnt bootcamp related but i thought everyone might want to know

If the SP3 is the CD or DVD pack, it's much larger than you need. I think it contains drivers for everything and most language packs, etc. Wait for the online download which will be hardware specific and not very large.
Still, I am surprised it says you don't have enough room. Are you sure XP is only taking up 6GB?
If so, it may be that SP3 in order to be able to uninstall it, needs to duplicate your system.

My question was just answered: SP3 just popped up on my Dell Inspiron. It says it can between 90 and 300+ MB, so I don't understand the issue you are having regarding size.

It's most likely a Windows problem. I would suggest downloading it again and seeing what happens. It's possible the DL was corrupted and had an incorrect size report or something like that.
It's still DLing on my Dell. I will do my other MBP afterwards. Then I still have my G5 XP and my real PC XP to do.

Update to my Dell SP3 update:
After a long time of "Preparing for Download" which seemed to involve some online activity, the download finally started. I wonder if there were some system checks and such first? Possibly even a backup? It's been sitting on "Downloading" for some time, now, with zero progress. It might be using the same time frame Leopard's DU uses when repairing permissions 🙂
