Logic Pro 8 with a Presonus Faderport (punch in/out issues)

Hello -

I'm having trouble configuring the punch in/out function of my new Presonus Faderport in Logic Pro 8 both without and with an external footswitch. I'm receiving all kinds of assorted error messages and am having all kinds of difficulty even after multiple installations and tech support with Presonus. Any and all help is greatly appreciated...

MacPro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), RME Fireface 800, Korg FS-1

I'm having the same problem with a few extra's to boot. The Fader is now assigned to the pan and there is now way to get it back.

I am having MASSIVE faderport problems. I think it might be related to the 8.0.2 update but am not sure. It started when I would use the left and right channel select buttons. it seemed to hang up and not scroll back and forth. Play and all the other buttons seemed fine. I also installed the driver and firm from presonus but that does not fix it. NOW my play button doesn't work at all.

Is there anybody out there?

Ask to Presonus support!!

Unfortunately... presonus is not so Logic Frendly...
it comes from cubase world!
Try to use as BabyHUI!

(I suggest Behringer BCF 2000.. awesome)

No problems here - Faderport working perfectly with 8.0.2, although I haven't tried a footswitch.
Presonus recently released a driver for Logic, so you no longer have to configure as HUI. Have you tried this driver?

Hi -

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm still having punchin/out issues even with the latest Faderport drivers. Can anyone suggest a footswitchable solution that works with an RME Fireface 800?
