Charging the iphone in Italy

I am traveling to Italy on vacation and was wondering if there will be any problem charging my iPhone if I use an adapter or an car charger?

Apple, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

I live in Florence half time and have an iPhone. You only adapter you need is for the plug into the wall. The adapter that came with the phone works with both 110 and 220. The plug adapter you will need looks just like a plug with two tubular shaped metal pieces that go into the outlet vs. the two flat we use here in the U.S.. The adapter costs at the most, $5.00 or so. One word of caution, your telephone bill will be crazy high when you come home if you don't put your iphone into Airplane Mode. Believe me- The best thing to do if you're going to be the for a few weeks is to just buy an inexpensive phone there. You'll get a prepaid sim card installed in the phone that you can recharge at any tobacco shop. Calling ANYWHERE via the Italian phone is very inexpensive. Have a wonderful trip!

You CAN purchase a travel adapter, however the adapter that comes with the iPhone is universal, and will work on any wall power in the world. It is rated at 100-240 Volts, 50/60 Hz. All you need is a plug adapter, or get the kit of adapters from Apple. But any set of International plug adapters is just fine. And you can get them in Italy also.
