Songs play on itunes but not iphone

I have a few songs that refuse to play, all by one artist. Both were already on my computer, not from itunes, and they play perfectly well in itunes library and on my iphone on the computer, but when i disconnect and try to play them on the phone itself, nothing at all. Anyone have any ideas?

it might be that your iPhone isn't an authorized "computer" on iTunes. I had the same problem, or at least similar, in that some of my songs would play but others wouldn't. To fix it I went into iTunes with my iPhone connected, made sure that my iPhone was selected in the left-hand menu bard and then under the Store menu selected the "Authorize computer..".

This prompts you to put in your password for iTunes store. If all goes well a message saying that the "computer" has been added to your list of authorized computers for your iTunes account.
