2005 iMac G5....doesnt have a bluetooth module?

I have the may 2005 version of the iMac G5, 2.0GHz with the ATI Radeon 9600 and such and in the article on apple.com it says that my model is supposed to include the module! ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301724) and even further in the release article ( http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2005/may/03imac.html) it talks about wireless connectivity with things such as the apple wireless keyboard/mouse...yet bluetooth in the top bar is unavailable and the bluetooth section of system preferences wont open ( it says "The bluetooth tab of Keyboard & Mice is hidden because you dont have a bluetooth module installed or attached to your computer")

I really dont know if it wasn't included but was intended to be, or i have read all these various articles completely wrong somehow..
If indeed i don't have a module or it's broken, where can i buy a replacement one? and will apple supply it?
thanks! 🙂

There are numerous reports of bluetooth becoming unavailable spanning a range of hardware and OSX versions. Many times this has been reported to be fixed by procedures like resetting the [PRAM/NVRAM|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238&coll=cp] or the [SMU|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301733]. Sometimes it seems to come back with a simple restart. I also read where there have been problems associated with certain peripherals on the USB port that is shared with the bluetooth module. You can easily give some of these reset procedures a try and maybe throw in a permissions fix while your at it. This has happened to me a couple of times (like just now!) and it does seem mysterious.
Of course, your bluetooth hardware may also be dead...

thanks for the responses, i've tried resetting the PRAM/NVRAM and just now the SMU with no luck...and i've tried unplugging all of my USB devices and even my speakers with no change either.
I'm starting to think the module is just burned out, in which case i'll need to just replace it...my only problem is i don't know which module i need to purchase for the computer. It has no antenna outside the case so most of the modules i've already seen must be wrong and unless i look up the part number i may end up taking it to a Genius Bar and seeing if they can just order it for me (anyone tried this with any luck?)
Thanks for your responses!

tried restarting several times, and shut down and then restart didnt work either
i took the advice of some others and ran the hardware test and this is what i got;

after disconnecting all peripherals i ran the test and right away it came up with a error in the Logic Board; the error is
25TH/1/2:CPU T-Diode

in addition in the hardware profile it didnt even recognize the bluetooth module as existing!
