Hi,

Two more "silly" questions...

1. Presumably you have tried deleting the account and then setting it back up again?

2. You have looked through the help pages (for iPhone) on the Gmail site itself? I had a quick look and they seem quite extensive.

FYI my ports are incoming- 993, outgoing- 587.

Good luck,

Dud.

Is your account IMAP or POP? Port 465 is for POP SMTP, port 587 is for IMAP SMTP.

If you use the gmail option when you set up the account it defaulted to IMAP (this was not the case for earlier iPhone users, but is the case for all IPT's, since Mail was not available until this year). You could delete the account on the IPT then re-add it.
