Just purchased super duper

i just purchased super duper and ran the smart update..wow it is a lot faster with the smart update.

I was just wondering how do you boot from super duper just take make sure everything is saved, nothing went wrong, etc...

do you just turn on your external and when the drive appears open it up and check from there?? or is there another way to do it??

thanks

Hello smurffy:

I use (and recommend) SuperDuper. You can accomplish what you want automatically. Open SuperDuper. Go to options>general. +"On successful completion"+ select your clone on the external backup. SD will reboot from the clone. I generally open Safari to see if I am able to reach the web. Then I reboot - selecting the internal HD with OS X on it.

Two ways
Use the option key at start-up to pick bootable drive or go to system prefs and choose drive to boot from and restart.
As far as looking to see if everything is there.. you can compare disk or use a program to see if copies are present. I guess you can use a program like tidy up to compare and not use the erase feature. BUT not sure you would need to do anything other then boot and use to see if bootable drive works.
Hope that helps
