Faint white streak on screen

Do you have a screen protector on the iPhone? If you do, test without the screen protector.

Try resetting the iPhone

If you see the streak on the startup screen(without the screen protector) the iPhone may need hardware repair.

I have the exact same thing happening, and I can't seem to find any other people except for you with this problem. Mine appears like a white yellowish stripe, coming right down the middle from the top of the screen. It is very annoying.

I have that problem too. It looks like a faint white smudge running on the right side of the phone North to South. Plus the air bubbles which seem to pop up after a few month no matter how much care you take of your phone.

I've had my iPhone since 6/29. I don't believe I've gone anywhere without it since that time, and I haven't seen any air bubbles pop up.

This, along with the faint white smudge, I would contact AppleCare (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

I have this same issue. On a white background it looks tan, orangish (I am color blind) but I can definitely see a spot, smudge, streak. I have it on left side of the screen, across the top, and on the right side of the screen. I took it to the Apple Store and they said this was normal behavior. I bought my iPhone on 3/24 and had it replaced once already because my first iPhone locked up 2 to 3 times a day. This second one has been rock solid, but now I have this annoyance. The only thing different is that I have been flying a lot lately, I wonder if the pressure changes are causing a fault...

Anyways, I asked for a replacement, because I deemed it to be a defect, but the Genius wouldn't give in, said that it has to get worse, well tonight it got worse. Also said that it might resolve itself. I am concerned because these units only have a 90 day warranty... BAD APPLE should be 1 YEAR for manufacture defects... Every other piece of consumer electronics has this...

Anyways, I'll take my iPhone in next Friday or Saturday and show that it has gotten worse and hopefully get a replacement. Then, I'll be the Apple Care because I won't trust my replacement to last more than a couple months.

ive had the same thing ever since i walked out of the apple store a few weeks ago.
it started as a white streak at the top of the screen, cutting right through the att signal and battery at the very top, and would fade in and out at times.

but now my screen has gone completely out of control. the ENTIRE screen is covered with white horizontal and vertical lines, but i can still see a faint bit of the background of the phone. i can still slide to unlock the phone and hear it unlocking, but see absolutely nothing. double tapped home while it was locked and played music, but the screen stayed white. after resetting it a few times, with no help, i restored it. the apple logo came up perfectly fine after the restore was over- and then once it passed the apple logo, it went back to the same functionality as before. so i restored it a second time, creating it as a new phone, and still nothing. is anyone else having as severe of problems as me?

I have the exact same thing, although mine is in the upper right hand side of the screen and comes down approximately an inch.

Also, when your phone is off, do you notice the spot on the screen still? In certain angles of light the spot is visible even when the screen is off.

I don't have a protector either.

Yup, I can see it as I type this on my iphone. Faint stripe light yellow on the bottom right of the screen. My friends have it too... *****.
