Logic / Behringer DDX3216 users here?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone here is also using a Behringer digital mixer (DDX3216) in combination with Logic7.
I want to be able to control the DDX from Logic and haven't succeeded in fully doing so yet. Has anyone been able to get good results and maybe have a control environment to share?? I do have the original Behringer mixermap from their site but that doesnt' really do 'its thing' with me...

Thanx in advance!!
cheers
Hans

I use 2 3216's in my setup. One at the moment is just for controlling logic's mixer. The other is fully intergrated as a main recording console. They are great mixers with insane flexibility and using only the digital interfaces for connectivity makes them a great replacement for logic's virtual mixer for those who remember true mixing on real consoles (not controllers). This is all off of your point though.
I have found both of Behringer's logic environments (on their support page) to work, although they did not perform as I initially expected. The midibus is quite simple. It links the 16 bus faders to the first 16 tracks of logic's mixer, as a relatively simple controller, but a little too simple for today's applications (providing nothing but volume fader control for only 16 tracks, no pan, no nothing else) it also allows only one way communication, ddx to logic. Meaning that any movements on logics mixer will not send to the ddx. The only way to use this setup is to not touch logic's faders, and use the ddx for all faders movements, rather basic for pro setups like logic 7 with digital mixers.
The mixermap is a little more useful. It gives control of the ddx from logic for automation and snapshot changes, which is more useful for a playback setup like mixing a live show. Again it's one way communication, this time it's logic to ddx, moving the ddx's faders will now fight you trying to stay locked with logic.
These are the only two solutions Behringer offers and I have abandoned both because it too limiting and basic for studio recording. I have come with an intensive solution for my setup but it maybe a little wordy for this post. E-mail me if you want to know more how I use the DDX.
Hope this helped
