Ibook G4 stuck at blue screen

Ok, I have an Ibook G4 that is booting into the dreaded blue screen. I didn't do anything to it (I was on the internet and it just froze up, so i rebooted it then, u guessed it, blue screen). Ive tried EVERYTHING. resseting PMU, PRAM, Tried reformatting the hard drive, Reinstalling Leopard, reparing with fsck and disk utility, I even tried taking the thing apart, nothing works. Whats weird is that I can leave it off for a couple days and get it to the desktop, but then freezes, blue screen.

heres what disk utility says about the hard drive if it helps:
Disk Description : AAPL FireWire Target Media Total Capacity : 27.9 GB (30,005,821,440 Bytes)
Connection Bus : FireWire Write Status : Read/Write
Connection Type : External S.M.A.R.T. Status : Not Supported
Connection ID : 5719659454565002 Partition Scheme : Master Boot Record

Help??? im just about ready to shoot this thing with my pellet gun. Thx for replies.

OK, very odd. I found out that its not the harddrive. I ran the Leopard install Cd, got to disk Utility, and checked it, SMART status was verified, (Hard drive was converted back to Appe Partition by the way) and it says everything is fine. I also tried starting up the dead Ibook with a different Ibooks Hard drive, still blue screen.

Should I just throw this thing in a river? thx for replies.

YES!!!!!! success!!!!! After Opening my Ibook and taking just about everything apart, I thought "is it possible that it could be the DVD drive?" so I took off the keyboard unscrewed the Airport card holder and unplugged the White DVD drive ribbon cable. Once I booted up, to my surprise, It made it to the desktop! Although Im still testing this out, Im almost positive it did the trick. Looks like Ill be without a DVD drive for a while, ohh well. thx for the replies guys.
