Change Say Command voice (Terminal & iAlarm) - British Voice

Hello,

I have started to use iAlarm to wake me up in the morning, but it seems to use the default (Alex)voice for Universal Access, the same voice as the terminal command "say." I tried changing the voice via the VoiceOver utility but this seems to have no effect. I recently downloaded the iVox voices and wanted to have my computer wake me up using the iVox British voice and read off my itinerary, but all I get is the regular Alex voice. Does anyone have any idea how to change the say command voice for terminal?

Mac OS X (10.5)

Do you know that you can change the default voice for Universal Access in system prefs?

Open System Prefs then the Speech Pane, then at the top switch to the "Text to Speech" side. At the top you can choose the "System Voice" which is the default voice that (almost) every command and program will use unless you tell it to use something different. iAlarm and say should use the voice you specify here, so you can change it to your iVox voice.

Hope this helps!
Ricky
