Is Motorola RAZR V3xx Compatible with iSync?

Does anyone know if the RAZR V3xx is compatible with iSync (v.3.0)? iSync recognizes the phone and appears to sync. However, when it stops its "sync" and I check my phone's address book, it has not copied the selected Address Book group, nor have any of my phone's contacts been copied to Address Book. I have reset the sync history and tried again to no avail.

If the phone wasn't compatible with iSync at all, you wouldn't even be able to get the phone's icon to appear in the iSync window, let alone start a sync, and your phones does appear in Apple's list of iSync Supported Devices.

So, it must be something else. I would suggest making backups of your Mac's Address Book data, and the Contacts in the phone before proceeding. Then try using the Reset Device command on the Devices menu.

Are you trying to sync via USB or Bluetooth? And have you tried whichever method you're not using now?

Are you able to send files to and from the phone via Bluetooth?

I know some US network operators disable certain Bluetooth functions in their versions of phones. In the Bluetooth system preferences pane, what Bluetooth Services does it list your phone as having?

Julian: I am trying to sync via Bluetooth. I tried to sync while hooked up with the USB cable, but the results were still nil. (I don't know if iSync can automatically sense when USB is hooked up and override Bluetooth???). Anyway, I am otherwise able to send files to the phone, but strangely, not from the phone to the computer.

The settings I see on my phone's Bluetooth are: Handsfree Voice Gateway, OBEX Object Push, OBEX File Transfer, Dialup Networking Gateway, Audio Source, Audio Video Remote Control Target. Is this what you are looking for?

Thank you for your help.

If you have previously attempted to sync via USB and then switched to Bluetooth you will have to completely delete your phone from iSync before setting it up for Bluetooth syncing via the *Bluetooth Setup Assistant* (accessed via the Bluetooth system preferences pane).

This may be what the problem is, as iSync might still think it's trying to sync via USB.

I use iSync all the time with a Motorola V3xx from AT&T and it works great both ways. I would suggest opening iSync, and if you see the Motorola phone icon then proceed and go to iSync Preferences and do a Reset Sync Data. It will probably default to "Merge Data" but use the drop-down menu to select the option to erase data from phone and replace with data from Address Book.

My new at&t Motorola RAZR V3xx will pair via BT but when I go to iSync all I get is the red ball with "iSync cannot connect to this device". Worked great with my Motorola v505, upgraded to new phone, listed as supported, but no dice. Deleted device, reset devices. Paired, re-paired, etc. Any help? Thanks.
